Coahuila receives 39 investment projects

In six months, the state has attracted the arrival of new companies.

Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís, Governor of Coahuila, indicated that so far this year, 39 investment projects have been completed in the state, totaling 2.1 billion dollars, while 24,437 new formal jobs have been created.

In this way, said the state president, Coahuila maintains a steady pace with the announcement of new investments or expansions of companies already installed in the state, and with this, the generation of thousands of formal jobs in favor of Coahuila's families.

He emphasized that these figures reflect that Coahuila is positioned as an ideal destination for investment, and a clear example of this is the arrival of European, Asian and U.S. companies. "Coahuila is an attractive and safe state for foreign and national investments due to its skilled labor force, political, labor and economic stability, the rule of law, good geographic location and, above all, the security that exists in its five regions," said Riquelme Solís.

The Governor explained that during the last few weeks, for example, the Korean company HL Mando announced the expansion of its operations, a project in which they will invest 185.3 million dollars and generate 1,980 new jobs in the Southeast Region.

Likewise, the North Pilgrims Project was announced, based in Cuatro Cienegas, with an investment of 12 million dollars and the creation of 140 direct jobs and more than 300 indirect jobs. "Also, during the month of May, with an investment of 350 million dollars and the generation of 1,200 new jobs, we announced the arrival in Coahuila of the company Xusheng, in Saltillo", explained the official, who added that the company Lennox, specialized in electric air conditioning and heating, laid the first stone of what will be its Commercial Area, a project in which they will invest 122.5 million dollars, with 700 new sources of employment.

Investment 39

Riquelme Solís pointed out that the 39th investment is announced and inaugurated with the arrival of the company Citic Dicastal, which produces aluminum rims for the automotive industry, which started operations by investing 100 million dollars in its first phase, and will be creating more than 1,200 new jobs.

"By municipalities, 17 of these 39 projects have been in Ramos Arizpe; 4 in Saltillo; 4 in Torreón; 3 in Arteaga; 3 in Acuña; 2 in Monclova; 2 in Frontera; one in Matamoros; one in Piedras Negras; one in Cuatro Ciénegas; and one in Nueva Rosita," recapitulated the governor.

"In terms of competitiveness, Coahuila has positioned itself in recent years as one of the best entities in this area, according to annual studies released by the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness," emphasized Riquelme Solís.
