Seeking to Expand National Supply Chain
InTiCa Systems requires local inputs for its plant in Guanajuato.
The company with a plant in Silao, Guanajuato, InTiCa Systems, is seeking Mexican suppliers to replace its foreign imports. “Currently, our supply chain is 50% national and 50% foreign, but we aim to increase our regional content, which is why we are looking for various commodities,” said Marisol de la Cruz, Head of Purchasing at InTiCa Systems.
At present, the company is seeking inputs such as copper, PCB, stamping, resins, and more. “We are looking for national suppliers because this offers us significant advantages, such as cost reduction, as it makes us more efficient. We eliminate the need for a warehouse and operate just in time. We reduce maritime transport and get faster responses,” explained the Head of Purchasing.
It is essential for the company that its suppliers are certified in ISO 9001:2015 and ISO IATF 16949. The company also places great importance on potential business partners having values like self-sufficiency and innovation. “We are looking for suppliers with their own design department, who can offer us improvement proposals, who are proactive and always seek to be at the forefront. This way, they benefit, we benefit, and the final customer benefits,” said de la Cruz.
