Tremec is looking for suppliers
The company requires services and indirect products for its headquarters in Querétaro.
The company dedicated to creating solutions for torque transfer systems, subsystems and components for different industries will expand its base of business partners in the supply chain.
Tremec's global indirect buyer, announced that one of the main advantages of having national suppliers is that they know the needs of buyers.
"One of the advantages is to have them close and that they really know the needs in the country (...), especially better suppliers that are business partners as such, not just a supplier that sells you something, that are really involved in the process as well," she said.
He pointed out that Tremec demands specialized service providers that have the REPSE, which is the Registry of Specialized Service Providers or Specialized Works, issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS).
"Training and specialized services and that they have their REPSE, on the subject in terms of human resources, for example, specialized courses for the industry such as Core Tools and sometimes they do not have the certifications, although they know about the subject," she said.
The purchasing expert explained that suppliers can be from any state in Mexico, as long as they provide the service in Querétaro. The process to become part of the company's supply chain consists of a quotation; subsequently, if the suppliers agree with the commercial terms and payment conditions, the registration process begins in order to continue with the commercial relationship.
Currently, 90 percent of Tremec's supply of indirect products is domestic, with an estimated 150 suppliers.
