Eduardo Perez, vice president of Bosch Mexico, announced the opening of the German company's new plant in Queretaro, to manufacture hydraulic pumps for mobile machinery.
With the new Bosch plant through Rexroth, the company will increase its capacity to serve the growing markets of mobile hydraulic systems and factory automation in North America by shortening delivery routes.
"This plant means opportunities for the locality and its people immediately, but above all it represents an important step in the company's strategy in the region and is a clear message about Bosch's commitment to the country's growth," said Perez.
On an area of 42,000 square meters, Bosch Rexroth will also have linear motion technology for applications in mechanical engineering in manufacturing and factory automation. In addition, an increase in hydraulic components is being prepared. For his part, Christoph Kleu, vice president of Finance and Administration at Bosch Rexroth in North America, said that this factory will react even faster to customer requirements and meet the growing demand for components and solutions.
"In particular for agricultural and construction machinery and OEM machinery manufacturers in North America. Our customers in North America will continue with their regional Bosch Rexroth contact, but have more options for transportation and delivery," he emphasized. The Rexroth plant will be Bosch's second plant in Querétaro; the first was recently expanded for the production of automotive components.
Bosch Rexroth has been present in Mexico since 1982 and employs 170 people at its first location in the State of Mexico.
