Marco Antonio del Prete, head of Sedesu, stated that the expo will feature three pavilions: industrial, commercial, and technological. A job fair for professionals is also scheduled for the final day.
He added that the 2023 edition saw the participation of 404 exhibitors and more than 6,000 visitors. The business meeting involved 66 purchasing companies and 747 suppliers, resulting in 2,382 business appointments.
“The suppliers registered for the business meeting are from Querétaro, while the buyers come from the state, national, regional, and, in some cases, international levels,” he explained.
Del Prete emphasized that the expo will have a green focus, aiming to foster economic development in the state through environmental stewardship.
“Admission to the expo is free. All services, including the business meeting, job fair, and technology pavilion, are free of charge. However, there will be a cost for exhibitors to rent a booth, though these costs are accessible. It is important that the companies showcasing their products are from Querétaro,” he elaborated.
Regarding job opportunities, during last year's expo, the job fair featured 51 companies and more than 2,300 job seekers for nearly 1,000 available positions.
Industrial Opportunities
Liliana San Martín Castillo, Secretary of Labor, estimated that at least 50 of the state's top companies will participate, offering 1,000 job vacancies, specifically targeting individuals with technical degrees and professionals.
Lorena Muñoz Altamira, President of CANACO, highlighted that producers will have commercial opportunities through over 50 exhibition spaces. She detailed that the sales from the exhibition area and the business meeting are expected to generate a revenue of 650 million pesos.
Representing Canacintra, Ricardo Alegre Bojórquez noted that the number of participating companies is expected to grow this year, following a 20% increase in participation in 2023.
Carlos Arturo Llerena Fernández, speaking on behalf of the Querétaro Automotive Cluster, stated that events like this help small and medium-sized enterprises (MiPyMEs) grow by guiding them through the process of connecting with large buyers.
