With the aim of expanding its operations and boosting productions for the automotive industry, specifically for electric vehicles, INFAC Automotive México will start the construction of a new industrial facility at its plant in Monclova, Coahuila, with an investment of $6 million. Currently dedicated to harness production, the South Korean company employs a workforce of 400, which is expected to increase to 650 once production commences next year.
The focus will be on manufacturing components for electric vehicle batteries. The firm anticipates completion of the expansion by April 2025, with operations starting in the last quarter of the same year.
They also announced that the facility will be built in a reserved area behind their industrial plant in Monclova, north of the city. Jorge Garza de la Fuente, Director of Economic Development for the Municipality, highlighted the various benefits this expansion will bring to the area. "With this news, the arrival of suppliers for INFAC will increase, as the company will need materials, thus generating more jobs for young graduates from various universities in the region," he explained.

He also emphasized that this investment is a boon for Monclova, not only strengthening the local economy but also providing more opportunities in other areas of the automotive industry and positioning the municipality as a key center for electric vehicles.
