The CEO of Kloeckner Metals, John Ganem, announced the inauguration of the US company in Querétaro with an investment of 40 million dollars and the generation of 200 formal jobs for the manufacture of products for the automotive industry, as well as the supply of metals. “Exciting times for Kloeckner in Mexico with the opening of our new Service Center in Querétaro…Expanding our processing network to bring more sustainable value to more customers,” he commented.
The regional general manager of Kloeckner Metals, Roberto Mercado Santos, said that this project marks the next chapter in the success story that distinguishes the brand.
“For Kloeckner, a new era begins, an era of growth, job creation, and above all, expansion for all Mexicans. And we are very pleased," he mentioned, adding that the purpose of Kloeckner Metals in Querétaro is to leave its mark on the steel manufacturing and distribution sector in the country.
For his part, the head of the Secretariat for Sustainable Development, Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, said that the US-based company will generate quality jobs through the manufacture of products for the automotive industry, as well as the supply of metals for other key sectors in the state.
He stressed that the United States is Querétaro's main trading partner, and according to the Ministry of Economy, this country invested 290 million dollars in 2022; while this year the arrival of more North American capital was announced.

Kloeckner Metals offers a wide range of steel and metal products, including sheet, plate, tube and profile, in both standard and custom formats. Kloeckner Querétaro is the second plant of the company in Mexico, from where it will also provide service to CDMX, Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, Guadalajara and Puebla.
