Siete Leguas Automotive (SLA) has officially launched operations at its second plant in Gómez Palacio, Durango, which represents an investment of 900 million pesos and the creation of 300 direct jobs.
José Juan Marcos González, President of the Board of Grupo Siete Leguas, explained that this investment will facilitate the expansion of the aluminum machining and assembly areas.

“The presence of this facility underscores the commitment that both the government and our company have towards the region we share. We are united in our interest for growth and development in this area. As a company, we are proud to be a part of this community, which is why we chose to invest and grow here,” Marcos González stated.

Governor of Durango, Esteban Villegas Villarreal, noted that this new Siete Leguas facility is one of 31 companies that will establish operations in the state this year.

The governor expressed gratitude for the trust that the company has placed in La Laguna and Durango, acknowledging that the Mexican firm has made a significant contribution to the regional economy through its skilled labor force.

In addition, Gómez Palacio Mayor Leticia Herrera emphasized that the municipality is a fertile ground for investment, driven by the governor’s international business missions.

“As a government, we are facilitators in providing the necessary conditions for entrepreneurs to invest their capital and create companies and jobs,” Villegas Villarreal added.

It is worth noting that the firm specializes in the machining of high-quality, precision components for OEM applications. Founded at the end of 2018, the company stands out for its production of small, medium, and high-volume components for the agricultural machinery, automotive, and motorsport sectors.
