Scott Park, CEO and Vice President of Doosan Bobcat, emphasized the significance of this new investment for the company. “We have seen significant growth across our business, and this new plant contributes to our long-term plans to increase production and meet customer demand,” said Scott Park.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, the company announced its goal of achieving LEED Silver certification and will feature state-of-the-art technology with a focus on quality, precision, and energy efficiency. “Our investment here demonstrates our confidence in this manufacturing environment and the thriving local economy,” stated Mike Ballweber, President of Doosan Bobcat North America.

In the presence of state and municipal officials, company executives, and supporting industry representatives, the Governor noted that his global promotional tours for Nuevo León have helped keep the state’s economic indicators rising. He mentioned that Doosan Bobcat was among the companies visited, and within just eight months, the company secured the land and all necessary federal and local permits to commence construction in Nuevo León.

The plant is expected to begin operations in early 2026.

Nuevo León as an Employer

According to Governor Samuel García, in June, the state was recognized as the top employer. “We are once again leading in record revenue collection, formal employment, better wages, and quality of life, thanks to a great team at the Ministry of Economy who ensures certainty for businesses, tailoring their needs and showcasing Nuevo León’s strengths, security, and ease of doing business here,” he stated.

At the event, the Governor also announced plans for an October work tour in Asia, specifically South Korea, Japan, and China, to present Nuevo León’s progress in infrastructure projects.
