With an investment of 30 million dollars, the Chinese company CSMET Group will build its new plant in San Luis Potosi, which will start operations in April 2025.

"San Luis Potosi is consolidating its position as a pole of attraction for foreign investment in the automotive industry," said the governor of the state, Ricardo Gallardo Cardona.

At the same time, he reaffirmed his commitment to the company to provide quality spaces, infrastructure and the necessary mobility for its installation, as well as stability and a reliable and secure workforce.

The Chinese company specializes in the production and sale of aluminum alloy raw materials and has been continuously developing new materials for automotive, lightweight and 5G-related applications. In 2020, they manufactured and sold 250,000 tonnes of aluminum alloy, generating sales revenues in excess of $700 million, while simultaneously launching the construction project in Baotou, China.

San Luis Potosí in the top 10 of FDI


According to information from the Federal Ministry of Economy, the state has established itself as one of the main destinations for Foreign Direct Investment nationally and a leader in employment generation, especially in the auto parts industry.

By the end of April, San Luis Potosi had managed to remain in the Top 10 with a concerted total of 1 billion 092 million dollars, a figure that represents 3 percent of the national total registered in this period.
