The president of the Franco-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bajío Chapter, Raúl Pérez de Celis Canseco, said that there are around five French companies in talks to establish themselves in Querétaro, in the aerospace and automotive sectors.

"There is reinvestment being made, there are new companies that are discussing their arrival to Queretaro, I can't say which ones yet, but there are at least five companies that I know are exploring the possibility of coming to the state, and one that is going to start up soon," he said.

Pérez added that the aerospace sector is one of the sectors that will benefit most from new investment, for the manufacture of components, engine assembly and other related activities. As well as the automotive sector, where French investment in this sector is expected to grow in the coming years, boosting the production of auto parts and vehicles.

French investment


Pérez reported that in 2023, French investments in Querétaro generated a significant impact on the local economy, reaching a total amount of 2.2 billion pesos and the creation of 1,950 new jobs. "In general terms there are around 78 or 79 French companies in the state, the presence is very important with companies such as Forvia, Safrán, Valeo, Michelin (...)", he said.

These investments were mainly concentrated in the aerospace sector, consolidating Querétaro as an important pole of development in this industry.

In this period, the French companies Safran, Albany, Airbus, Delastek, confirmed their expansion plans in the state and generated important investments and employment opportunities.
According to the Franco-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bajío Chapter, Safran announced an investment of 80 million dollars to expand its operations in the state, which will generate 800 new jobs.


In conclusion, he emphasized that French investments in Querétaro during 2023 contributed to strengthening the local economy, generating jobs and positioning the state as an attractive destination for foreign investment.
