Due to the wide availability of services and materials in Mexico, Jinrong México Precision Machinery has decided to invest in the country and set up its new industrial plant. For this metalworking company, Mexican suppliers are crucial, and for months now, they have been searching for suppliers that meet all the quality certifications, offer excellent pricing, availability, and timely delivery.
IN BRIEF/
< The company, currently constructing its operational headquarters, requires national supplies. >

According to Pablo Espinosa, Purchasing Manager of the company based in Nuevo León, the purchasing department is initiating contracts with local suppliers as the company continues constructing and adapting its facilities, aiming to start operations in the third quarter of this year.

"Currently, the company is in the process of selecting and evaluating suppliers capable of providing various inputs or materials, such as steel strip, copper strip, aluminum strip, and surface finishes (Sn, Zn, Ag), among others," said the procurement expert.

It's worth noting that even before the start of operations in Nuevo León, the company is already identifying and developing suppliers. "To date, we have secured 100% of our national inputs, but we continue to seek more," Espinosa said.

How to Become a Supplier for Jinrong?

For Jinrong, it is necessary to have suppliers with the productive and financial capacity to meet its needs. Geographic location, manufacturing system, responsiveness, the technology used by suppliers, as well as cost models and competitive pricing, are also highly relevant.

"We are looking for certified suppliers with a robust quality system that meets our capabilities. Experience in the sector is also a must," said the Purchasing Manager.

Espinosa added that to join the value chain of the Asian company, interested suppliers must comply with quality certifications like ISO 9001: 2015, IATF 16949, and materials equivalent to JIS & SAE standards. "First, we analyze the suppliers' capabilities, whether for finishes or raw materials. Then, we conduct an on-site audit to evaluate their processes and quality certificates. Additionally, we perform a financial assessment and conduct risk management," Espinosa explained.
