According to Antonio Arranz Lara, CEO of DHL Express Mexico, this HUB will become the most advanced in Latin America, with the capacity to handle 41,000 packages per hour. Arranz praised the high quality of both the technology and Mexican labor involved in the project.
The expansion, which represents an investment exceeding 120 million dollars, will create 250 permanent jobs, in addition to the 1,000 temporary jobs generated during construction. The new facility will cover 28,900 square meters and is designed with LEED Silver certification. It will feature 610 solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, and use regional and recycled materials, reflecting DHL’s and Telecapital's commitment to environmental sustainability.
State Secretary of Sustainable Development Marco Antonio del Prete highlighted a 10.7% increase in cargo transport from the airport compared to last year, projecting further growth with the new facility's expanded capabilities.
