The Libus plant in Nuevo Leon will have three production lines dedicated to the manufacture of helmets, glasses and hearing protectors that will be manufactured in accordance with Mexican and international standards.
The global president of Libus, Lucas Argul, commented that the investment is 42 million pesos. "The intention is to continue investing and growing, the plant is much larger than what it is currently holding, we have room to grow; we are employing 25 people, and the intention is to have between 80 and 100 people in five years' time," he said.
The executive said the plant's capacity will be 280,000 units of personal head protection per month, which breaks down into 200,000 lenses, 40,000 hearing protectors and 40,000 hearing protectors.
"We are growing at an annual doubling rate, we are growing at double, we calculate that this constant will be maintained for at least the next five years", stressed Lucas Argul.
Mariano Zurlo, general director of the plant, said: "We are supplying all of Mexico, we have distributors in Guadalajara, Mexico City, the Bajío, Monterrey, Puebla, and we are working to attack the border: Tijuana, Chihuahua and all the areas that require product".

It is expected that in the medium term, the Libus plant in Santa Catarina will be able to incorporate new production lines in accordance with the portfolio that includes more than 128 products for the head area, divided into seven segmented lines: cranial, eye, face, hearing, respiratory, welding, gas detection and autonomous equipment protection, in addition to the entire line of services available for hygiene and safety professionals and leaders that include training, software, consumables dispatch, telemedicine, among others, both for the domestic market, as well as for export to its plants in Argentina, Chile and Brazil.
